TEMPLE HISTORY( ക്ഷേത്ര ചരിത്രം)

Valyaparambu temple is one of the prominent and ancient serpent temples located in Kottakulangara, Alappuzha, Kerala. The presiding deity of this temple is Sreebhoothakala Nagayakshi. History reveals that the area where the temple locates   was under the ownership of a Brahmin( Namboothiri) family and when they migrated to another place , they vested the ownership of this land to a prominent Nair family named Aranattu (Valyaparambu). Later Aranattu (Valyaparambu) Nairs built their family temple here along with serpent deities and Kalari Bhadrakali. Presently the temple is owned and managed by Sree Bhoothakala Nagayakshi Kshetra trust.

വല്യാ പറമ്പ് ശ്രീ ഭുതകാല നാഗയക്ഷി ക്ഷേത്രം ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലയിലെ കൊറ്റംകുളങ്ങരയിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന പുരാതനവും പ്രസിദ്ധവുമായ നാഗക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. ചരിത്ര പ്രകാരം ഇന്ന് ക്ഷേത്രമിരിക്കുന്ന ഭൂമി ഒരു ബ്രാഹ്മണ കുടുംബം വകയായിരുന്നു.കാലാന്തരത്തിൽ അവർ പലായനം ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ ഭൂമി ' പ്രസിദ്ധ നായർ തറവാട്ടുകാരായ അരനാട്ട് (വല്യാപ്പറമ്പ് )കുടുംബത്തിന് സിദ്ധിച്ചു. പിൽക്കാലത്ത്  കുടുംബ കുലദേവതകളായ സർപ്പ ദൈവങ്ങളേയും കളരിഭദ്രകാളിയേയും ഇവിടെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ച് ആരാധന തുടങ്ങി. ഇന്ന് ശ്രീഭൂതകാല നാഗയക്ഷിക്ഷേത്ര ട്രസ്റ്റാണ് ഭരണം നടത്തുന്നത്
